The energy was off the charts on Tuesday 17th of March. I'm talking a curated mix of heritage, precision engineering, and the kind of networking that only happens when you put the UK's most ambitious creators in the same paddock. From the roar of the engines to the clinking of coffee cups in the hospitality suites, the day was a masterclass in how brands and creators can actually connect.
The Lineup - Where Legacy Meets the Future ✨
The variety on display was a flex in itself. Here’s a quick breakdown of the heavy hitters that caught my eye:
Porsche AG
James Dean's 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder! (also known as 'The Little Bastard') is an incredible time capsule of motorsport history.
JAECOO UK
The new kids on the block bringing some serious rugged sophistication. Their off-road luxury aesthetic is definitely one to watch for the adventure-lifestyle crowd, The tech on display was made for a geek like me.
Ford Motor Company
Bringing the raw mechanical muscle in the form of the Mustang GTD. The bridge between heritage and what’s coming next was a talking point, I even got my hands dirty and changed a wheel on the GTD 🔧🛠️
Rolls-Royce
The undisputed kings of 'luxury' they don't just build cars, they craft experiences. The star of the show: The Black Badge Ghost 👻. The highlight of the day was getting exclusive access to the truly opulent machine for a shoot. If the standard Ghost is a tuxedo, the Black Badge is the leather jacket you wear over it. It’s darker, edgier, and has this presence that just commands the title. I spent some time capturing the Ghost's subtle lines against the bustling Goodwood paddock. The interior was incredible, with red accents throughout.
Beyond the Chrome and Building relationships🤝
While the cars are the stars, the real magic happened in the lounges and paddock. This event wasn't just about snapping a series of photos and leaving. It's about genuine connection. I had some incredible chats with brand reps and fellow creators about where the industry is heading and where we'll be meeting next. There’s something about the Goodwood atmosphere that strips away the corporate feel and replaces it with shared enthusiasm. It felt less like a media day and more like a community coming together to celebrate craftsmanship.
